HFCC photo 3 artists make up February exhibit WYANDOTTE "What's it Got to Do with Love" is the current exhibit at Biddle Gallery in Wyandotte, running through Feb. 29.
Featured for February are pictures, prints and plushes: I Mrrranda Tarrow's "Just Do What You Can." This is an artist trading card set (limited edition of 475). Each postcard is reproduced from an original painting. Each set (pack of four cards) costs $5. Tarrow, a Southgate resident, has exhibited her paintings, mixed-media constructions and photographs in New York; Portland, and southeast Michigan. She splits her time between Southgate and New York's East Village.
I Eric Krimmel's "Uncut Garden: Flowers in Love." Kimmel focuses on pairs of flowers and what appears to be their humanlike affection toward each other. "Uncut Garden" is an ongoing series, of which "Flowers in Love" is a part. All the photos in the series are taken when the flowers are alive in their natural surround- Henry Ford Community College students Kristie Wilkes of Taylor, left, and Dominique Brooks of Southfield were winners in an "American Idol" contest sponsored by the Skylight Cafe food court at the Dearborn college. Students had to identify Idol winners from photos. Wilkes, a nursing major, took first place in the contest, choosing an HFCC sweater as a prize.
Brooks, a journalism major, won a $50 gift certificate to Dearborn Music. The contest was created to encourage feedback about the food court it REUNION CALENDAR ings. Krimmel, a Wyandotte resident, is an award-winning photographer. He also works in graphic design, screen printing, illustration, and film and video. I Joey Merchant's handmade plush monsters, bags and accessories: These are a collaborative effort of Merchant, a Livonia resident, and her sons: Ian, 8, and Owen, 3.
