One of seven LSU players to enter this month, Cam Johnson is the most-talented former Tigers player to do so after making the call. Geaux247's Glen West says Johnson has "untapped potential" as a hard-throwing, 6-5 lefty and he was expected to take a sizable role on next season's team after playing just one year in Baton Rouge. He fanned 13 batters over nine innings and 13 appearances this season, but did give up 16 walks and 12 earned runs. Florida State is reportedly the team to watch for Johnson.

In addition to Johnson, the six other players to hit the portal for the Tigers includeSophom*ore RHP Micah Bucknam, freshman infielder Austen Roellig, first-year outfielder Derrick Mitchell, freshman lefty Nic Bronzini, freshman outfielder Zeb Ruddell and sophom*ore right-hander Aiden Moffett. Moffett tossed 17 2/3 innings this season, scattering 18 hits, 11 runs 12 walks and 21 strikeouts over 16 appearances.
